Our trip down south was short but we sure did accomplish quite a bit and the main excitement for me was getting a few baby chicks. The farm store has a “Chick Sale” and I was surprised at the variety of chicks they had. We had agreed that I should only purchase 3 since they will be traveling back and forth with us (yes, I am crazy) but I may spend the summer months entirely down south (still to be determined). They seem to have adjusted with all the moving around they had to deal with …

Rhode Island Red Baby chickens A video I created – aren’t they cute!
Your chicks are lovely, will you name them? Oh didn’t see the video link, off to watch it now!
Kind regards
Sara from farmingfriends
Morning Sara! We did name them, but still not sure what gender they are. So we may be changing their names later
They sure do grow fast!
Debbie
Just seen your video, they are lovely, such nice markings, they are the same golden honey colour as my girls but without the dark wing markings.
I cant think what to call mine at the moment i always find that pets name themselves. You look at them one time and it pops right into my head.
My unknown chick Daisy may have to be renamed if it turns out to be a cockerel but i would so hate to get rid of it if that happens. We cant keep a cockerel living in such close quarters to other houses.
